1 The Curious Case of Krystina
31-year-old Krystina Butel is a hairdresser form Wakefield, West Yorkshire and she has been in the news for a really bizarre reason. When she was 15 years old, she had gone on a vacation to Ibiza and a street artist had drawn a cartoon/caricature of her and since then, she has been undergoing cosmetic surgery to look exactly like the caricature.
2 She fell in love with the caricature
She was made into this, by an artist and she instantly fell in love with the image and decided that looking like this cartoon would be the goal of her life. ‘When I saw the caricature for the first time, that was it,’ she said. She added, ‘I was so happy. It was as if finally I knew exactly what I wanted to be. I wanted to look like that cartoon. I felt envious of it.’
It has cost her over $190,000 or 130,000 pounds over a period of 15 years to get close to what she feels like the caricature. In this much amount, she has got five breast augmentations, heart shaped nipple tattoos, lip injections, tooth capping, Botox injections, frequent eyebrow and lip liner tattooing, eyelash extensions, and regular lip injections. Even after all this, she says that there is still scope for improvement and that there is a long way to go until she gets the right look.
